HDTV or Dell 2001fp

I have been thinking about connecting my cable to my comp and upgrading my old crt to a dell 2001fp. But I also want to watch tv/xbox in hdtv as well. The HDTV I would get would probably be a tube since I don't need anything larger then 27 inches. I would like to upgrade both my tv and monitor, but I can only choose one right now. What would you do?

Well do you move your pc around alot. If you are in a dorm room or office settings where space is limited, i would go with the dell2001fp. You can alwasy have a tv on in the background or something. However, if you current monitor is perfectly fine, personally i would get the HDTV. Also depending on which you do more, i would go with that. For example i am in college right now, i would go withteh dell2001fp just makes more sense since i am always infront of my computer.

You are buying new technology, and both are extremely expensive. Normally i would wait for the price to drop and let HDTV to iron out the problmes. HDTV's have problems and arnt perfect, its still a new technology. Plus nobody really knows if its goign to take off, since most poeple arnt willing to spend a $1000 on a tv when they can get teh same size for alot cheaper and still flat screen. Plus the cable feed to people's house isnt even HDTV quality. My uncle has a HDTV and its nice but he doesnt have digital cable so what is the point. Like how much time do you spend infront of the tv. Get out and smell the roses, get some fresh air
