HDTV on the 7800 GTX??

I was looking around today and got to thinking weather or not it was possible to run my HDTV reciever (with component cables, of course) into the VIVO connections on a 7800GTX. Would this allow me to watch and capture cable HDTV? Correct me if I am wrong, but if it worked, I should still get analog signals too right?

Reason for asking: building a new computer, and was thinking of getting a tuner card for that purpose.

anyone tried this?

I don't think the 7800GTX inputs component. None of the cards do as far as I know.

*insert obligatory cuss words here* 😛 (I really wish there were cards that inputted component).

Your only options are inputting S-Video and composite at this point. I'm in the same boat.

oh well, that'll never do. Looks like I'll be buying that fusion 5 card after all.
