Yeah, I even find myself watching some of those horrible Voom only channels because the quality is amazing. DiscoveryHD rocks, eventhough it's just a bunch of animals most of the time.

Don't have HDTV, but I was loitering around Best Buy for 10-15 min. over the weekend staring at an HDTV show.

HDTV is way cool, but they got to make the installation process a LOT easier or it will never catch on. You wouldn't believe how complicated it is to set up :/

I'm watching one of the 6 Discovery channel shows every night. The nature stuff is amazing...why go to Africa when it looks like it's right out your window!

Kind of the same way you would experience with a new computer. Play the games you hate.

Or with a new car, travel on the roads you never been on. Objects die, but experiences last a life time.

I don't have a HD box yet for my HDTV, I really only bought the thing for a home theater.. (DVD movies and game consoles) but I'll probably try it eventually.

Really, how complicated is it

Buy tv, put it in room and plug it into wall.

buy hd satellite receiver and dish.

Take them home, install dish (45 mins or so tops), put receiver on stand or on tv. hook it up into the component in.

turn it on.. Call DTV to activate (or dish)

Done.. probably 2 hours or so tops.

I will be doing this over the weekend--the satellite part. This new dish is replacing my dual feed sony dish I got back in.... 2000?

I watch a LOT of Discovery HD theater...my favorite show is now 'Cities of Asia', and that martial arts special they had awhile back was pretty good! I also like the bug show they have with that french guy, he's a trip.
