Since I'm almost done with my build, I decided that in my next upgrade, I want to get an ATI HDTV Wonder card . . .

I'm wondering, what do I need to run it? I've already gotten a 3000+ Winchester and 250GB Maxtor . . . do I need low latency ram or what?

edit: I'M either getting a 6600GT, x800XL, or 6800GT . . . whichever meets my financial plans

My system takes a decent hit when only running one processor, recording TV, and doing other tasks. That's a single MP2800. My memory usage isn't very high on a standard picture.

It should be fine as long as your system mets the specs on the capture card box. You just may not be able to multitask smoothly.

As I understand it, yes. You can only record free to air HDTV.

My HDTV Wonder should be arriving in a few days. :)

I understand that the ATI cards put a lot of strain on the CPU. You might want to check out using a Hauppage video capture card instead. You can get more info at www.htpcnews.com
