HDTV cables and quality

which one of these situations would make hdtv better
dvi from cable box to tv's hdmi input
rgb from cable to rgb tv input
dvi from cable box to tv's hd15 input

I only have one hdmi on my tv and i need one of those options for my tv and another for when i get xbox360 or ps3

It actually depends on the tv. Some look better using a digital input and some look better with an analog input.

I'd suggest going over to AVSforum and looking up your specific model.

That won't work at all so you can rule it out (HD-15 = VGA analog) You may have to get a switcher if you need multiple digital inputs if the RGB gets downconverted down the road.

rgb from cable to rgb tv input = Next Best (RGB is actually analog)

dvi from cable box to tv's hd15 input (DVI is digital and HD15 is analog) Like rbv5 stated it Wont Work.
