HDTV as display

Well, I'm waiting out the 9700 Pro AIW pricing, looking to upgrade in the next week or so. I've been using my television as a monitor since my 19" Viewsonic blowed up after only 2 years (didn't really blow, just smoked and died). I like the concept of a television for a monitor, but I think I need a digital TV to make the combo work properly. I read that the AIW HDTV supports only newer models, and was looking for suggestions for something fairly cheap. I want around a 32" w/ PiP. I saw this at Best Buy. Any opinions?
