When I run the benchmark, the sequential speed graph goes down as the drive position goes up, but has a lot of 'spikes' in it where it drops down low, then goes back up again. Is that normal? Also here are the other tests:

Random Access Time: 14ms
Read Burst Speed: 79 MB/s
Read Speed: max - 41580 kps min - 12908 kps avg - 31624.4 kps
CPU util: 12.5%

This is a 40GB 60GXP running on an Asus A7M266. The drive is running win2k and is formatted with NTFS.

Looks OK to me. Here's my 40gig 60GXP on an 8K7A/NTFS/Win2000:

HD Tach version 2.61
Drive: IC35L040AVER07-0
Access time: 12.9ms
CPU utilization: 11.7%
Burst speed: 79845kps
Average read speed: 31985
