HDs IDE: ATA 100 x ATA 133 - Significant difference??

Is there some sensible difference of speed data transfer between HD's IDE ATA 100 vs ATA 133??
From a technical viewpoint, do the "133" is 33% faster than "100" or this is a "market trick"?? I would appreciate some oppinions about if it worth to pay more to have a "faster HD" ...
Thanks a lot for any information!!

The only real difference would be in burst rates. They're virtually identical in regular usage. I can't tell the difference between the ATA-133 drive in my PC from the ATA-100 drive in my Dad's PC.

There's no real world difference between the two; ATA 133 isn't even an official spec, as it was designed by Maxtor, and implemented only by them and Samsung. For all intents and purposes, ignore the transfer spec of a hard drive.

Well, It's what I was guessing ... There is no tangible difference between these two specs of HD's... So, I am going to get a ATA 100, which is a bit cheaper.
Thanks a lot all for your hints! They were very useful for me!
