Hi,

i recently bought a new laptop, a Toshiba x205, which has a HD DVD player. The one problem with the laptop is that it does not support 1680x1050. My 21 inch desktop screen does support this resolution and is also HDTV ready. Would it be possible to run an HDMI cable from my laptop(has the port) to a DVI port on my LCD? I know there are HDMI to DVI cables; however, before i buy one i would like to know if i would be able to receive a picture on my LCD.

Thanks!

Ummm, I think it would support it.

Go to monoprice. These wire are relatively cheap for you to experiment with. Besides, if it does support it, maybe one day you'll bust up to a better vid card or PC along with a better HDTV where you can use it.
