HDMI to DMI Artifacting/Instability

I have my PC (specs below) normally hooked up to the DVI port on my 1920x1200 monitor. The line that runs into my main GPU has an adapter for DMI and runs fine.

However, I tried to hook my PC up to my 50'' LG Plasma using an HDMI to DMI cable and immediately had artifacting and would crash after loading windows. When I switched back to the main monitor through DVI monitor the instability and artifacting were gone. Tried to hook it to the TV and it came back.

Not sure why changing a source would cause artifacting and crashing from my video card. Could it just be a bad cable?

No reason to artifact suddenly on the second monitor.

Check TV, check signal check cables, Try diff cable. gl
