HDMI switcher with analog ports?

I don't know if this exists at all, but my dad asked - I helped him wall mount his tv but he doesn't want to bother with in wall installation of the wires. He has uses a lot of inputs - vga (htpc), svideo (from a friggin vcr.. VCR!), and 2 hdmi. The wire trail is quite mess since he has his AV equipment a good 20 feet away from the TV. A switcher would reduce the wire situation quite a bit...

I know there are other solutions to his wire mess, but I figured I'd see if there's a simple switcher out there

Thanks!

You are looking for some sort of "combiner" or concentrator. Not cheaply. The simplest fix is a receiver such as the Denon AVR 1508 would bring a number of inputs into it and give you an HDMI out. It may or may not work with blu-rays.

Parts-express has a bunch of switching gear, or your standard pro shops like Avad probably carry something.

I don't think the 1508 does HDMI upconversion (digitizing the analog signal for HDMI). The "cheap AVR" idea isn't bad, though... Although any such solution may be more expensive than getting a DVI out for his HTPC and buying a BD70V for videotapes. ;)
