HDMI switch question

Hello and happy holidays to all,

I have my xbox 360 connected to my xbox one through its HDMI in port and both are connected to my sound bar, which has only one optical input and I have only one HDMI input on my TV. I have a HDMI switch, could I use the switch to connect for example a PS4 or other HDMI device through the xbox one in the future?

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

No, the sound bar doesn't have HDMI, just regular stereo and optical inputs, I will consider the product link from amazon.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi,

No if I want to use optical or hdmi audio, the xbox 360 is connected to the HDMI in of Xbox One and I have connected Xbox One directly to the optical in of the sound bar and I can hear audio through both consoles, I wonder if I add another HDMI device using my HDMI switch will I get audio from that device through the Xbox One.

Thanks for the reply.

why are you daisy chaining hdmi if you have a switch?

justdo device to hdmi switch, hdmi switch to tv, tv to sound bar with rca cables.
