Wooooooooooow. The current model is a 32-bit Bay Trail CPU with 1GB RAM; an upcoming model is a 64-bit Bay Trail CPU with 2GB RAM. I'm holding out for the latter. I have an Android HDMI stick in my lab, which is pretty dang cool for the price, so I'm super-interested to see how these turn out!

Definitely nice especially if you want, for instance, a PC in every room/hooked up to every TV to stream media from the internet plus local network storage such as a NAS or router-attached USB drive.

They just need to have either enough (full size) USB ports or Bluetooth support for interface devices to be really useful.

How can you tell if the link to the allexpress item is the F or G version ? The description have Z/G ? I'm mostly interested in the G version for linux.

i sent them email it sounds like the $125 version is 2GB (f version) which is 64 bit processor.

I think there might be potential for these devices if the major PC manufacturing brands (Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, etc) decides to make them. I wouldn't buy them as of now because of lower QA standards from these unknown brands versus the bigger, more established brands.

Conceptually nothing new as there are Android ones for a few years now but with a more capable platform, low power and near maintenance free; I could see myself getting one in the near future.

Typically with wireless keyboard/mouse. For a fancier approach, use an air mouse. HDMI splitter is probably the only way to do it but why do you need it when what you're making now is essentially a smart TV?

blu ray? gaming console or pc? smart tvs don't come without hdmi ports...

Would be nice if they had an ethernet port in addition to the wifi for those who have wired networks and want to use it in a stationary setting. Either way this is a really neat concept.
