HDMI splitter

I want to hook up my xbox 360 and maybe a blu-ray player(soon) to my hdmi port on my monitor, but I only have one port. I was looking into hdmi splitters, but I am seeing a lot of bad reviews. Is this a good idea and are there any good splitters out there that aren't crazy expensive? Or should I just stick with my TV for a blu-ray player?

Thanks

I'll second that choice. I bought the same one.

I was in the same boat; wanted to run my 360 and pc off the same monitor (pc) and didn't want to swap cables. I was leary about buying that switcher being it was just so cheap looking.

But nope, that little guy works great. And it doesn't even need a power supply.

That one looks neat. I have the Monoprice.com 4x1 switch (for sale in sig) and it worked great. Just make sure it's 1.3b spec and read reviews to make sure which ever one you are looking at works with your specific devices. I've read of some having problems with various components, like PS3's, or certain AVR's.

I'm going to jump off topic for just a quick second. If you're looking for something like the Scorch 360, check out XIM360.com. An XIM is, hands down, the BEST kb/m adapter available.

I've been using a kb/m setup on my 360 for about 3 1/2 years now. I started with an XIM, which you can use on the 360 and PS3, and I'm using a XIM360 (XIM2) now. There's also the XIM 3 which is in beta right now and will be available soon. Jump in the forums and you'll find info and vids of it in action.
