My family bought a big screen TV that has HDMI but no DVI support... it has component video, but I really want to connect it digitally. So is there any way I can connect my computer to my TV?

I have another question i forgot to ask though; do I need any software or it is just "plug and play"?

What video card do you have?

When I hooked up my 6800GT to an HDTV over DVI, the video card automatically detected the settings (resolution and such) for the TV, and it was perfect without me having to do a thing. 🙂
