HDMI problem with TV

Hey guys,

Whenever I plug in the HDMI cable from the DVD player to the TV, I get a green line across the TV which scrolls up the screen, then reappears and does the same thing. After the green line comes a purple line. As soon as I disconnect the HDMI cable, it disappears. How can I fix this?

what tv and what dvd player? I would start researching hdmi problems with your model of tv.

Do you have another HDMI or DVI source to try?

Isolate the issue.

Toshiba HD-A1 player, Philips TV

That said, it's most likely a vendor thing with incompatabilites.

update your toshiba hd-a1 player to a newer firmware version. Also try using a diffrent hdmi cable.
