Hdmi port not working

Hi ALl,
I recently assembled a desktop based on Intel I3, 4th Gen and motherboard is Gigabyte's B85M-DS3H, which has a HDMI Port.

The problem i am facing is that the HDMI port is not working, trying to connect my pc to my LED, trying several hdmi cables as well.

Also HDMI does not show anywhere under device manager and under sound drivers.
Need help on what all drivers do i need to install so that the hdmi functions.

Why would HDMI show in device manager ?
There is most likely a BIOS option to enable/disable HDMI out, so enable it, or, it is a option in the video drivers control panel.

I am guessing you have dedicated GPU. YOu say HDMI doesnt show under device manager. I could tell you already booted in windows.

Try in bios. enabled the onboard graphics. (intel HD) HDMI or any other VGA ports (D-sub, DVI and HDMI) comes from your processor.

Hi , Thanks for the replies.

I do not have a seperate graphic card. The motherboard,Gigabyte's B85M-DS3H, has an onboard HDMI port, which seems not to be working.
Iam using Win 7

Are you aware if it is a BIOS setting, then how do we enable it in Gigabyte's BIOS.

Describe your setup.

How many monitors you have and at which ports are they connected?

What cables and adapters (if any) do you use?

Hi Seba,

Main Monitor: Connected through VGA port.
Sony LED(for HTPC) : Connected through HDMI port .

Cable is Amkette, branded cable, 1.4 version. No adapters used.

During boot do you have an image on the TV, or it's displaying "No signal" even then?

Did you install Intel drivers?

Try with only the TV connected (via HDMI) to this PC.

Make sure the correct HDMI is selected as input from your TV menu.

If your TV has more than one HDMI, then test with all.

Did you try other HDMI Out device with your TV? (a game console, a Blu-ray player, another PC or a latop with HDMI)?

Try with only the TV connected (via HDMI) to this PC.
Tried, still no display

Yep, selected the correct input

Tried the hdmi with a dvd player, works fine.

Looking forward for your help.

You could try with a DVI-HDMI adapter (and the HDMI cable connected to the TV) or with a DVI monitor (and using a DVI cable) to see if any digital video output works.

Other than that, I have no other ideas.

Maybe the HDMI from your motherboard is defective.
