Hello all, question for ya, I am wanting to send hdmi signal from house to a shed that is 200' away and was wondering one using hdmi converter to cat6 and then use nanostations to bridge in between house and she and convert back to hdmi do you thing this would be possible also wondering about being able to use a remote in the shed to change channels? Does anyone have experience in this as o would like to make sure it will work before I buy the equipment. Thanks

Uhh, no, it doesn't work that way.

Pretty sure the HDMI-to-CAT6/5e, are just physical media converters, they don't convert HDMI to ethernet frames.

Alternative solutions would depend on what you are trying to get your shed to see... Excessive detail would not be wasted..

It would be to watch my same channel I'm watching in the house from my dish network receiver basically just for football games and other sporting events. Just don't want to put up a satellite and cost for another receiver every month since we won't use it that often. Any help is appreciated?

Another easy option: get their app running on your phone. get a chromecast dongle for your TV. Cast your phone display to the chromecast when you are in there, since I seriously doubt they have cast ability directly in the Direct TV app....

(Assumption: you have an Android Phone.)

mdram- you are pointing out my reading error.... :)
LG TV's may have the Virtual Joey app available on them, same idea as Direct TV's "Direct TV ready televisions"...
