I'm looking for some recommendations on a videocard that has 2x HDMI output on it. In particular I need a card that actually has onboard sound as well (so that I only have to run one cable to my home theater) . I play games, but I'm not hardcore (EVE and CoH), anything under $250 is what I'm looking for.

Does this exist? I know there are some motherboards out (or coming out) that have an HDMI output, but I'm not sure if those even output sound.

HDMI = video + sound

you need to connect a SPDIF cable to your videocard to output sound to the HDMI, I believe. I could be wrong, and I'm not sure if this is possible in 100% of cases

I wasn't sure either if it was possible, but it seemed logical or at least it was something I would be willing to pay for. I saw a couple of specs for some videocards and I just made the leap. I assume there was no real reason to include HDMI on a video card since DVI-HDMI carries the same signal.

Ok, well if it doesn't exist, someone should make it exist and I'll buy it :).

I do believe all ATi video cards since the 2600 series support sound over HDMI. Question is why 2? Even if you had a card with dual DVI ports that support pass though audio, do you have a sound card that has 2 SPDIF out ports?

You might be better served with 2 lower end cards that pass though the audio on the dvi or even have a HDMI port.
