Hi:

I've just tried connecting my tablet to my tv via micro hdmi to hdmi cable. Didn't work- doesn't sense that hdmi is connected on both tv and tablet.

Tried different cables and a different monitor: same result... Applied latest asus update as of today.

When I connect to a new monitor i don't get an hdmi option under settings...

I'm kind of lost- any ideas what's going on?

Thank you.

If I had a micro-hdmi cable, I'd connect my TF700 and see if I could duplicate it.

Poked around real quick, somebody mentioned checking "3D" in the HDMI settings on the Infinity... do you see anything like that? Might as well give it a go.

Other than that, I see a lot of issues with the HDMI output due to odd resolution issues. Is your TV a true 1080p TV?

Did you get your cable cheap on ebay because my first one was a dud from HK. The second more expensive Molex cable worked much better

I had no issues connecting the tablet to a 24inch monitor.

Yea I noticed when i was testing the hdmi this morning; but it warns you that it does not support flash so I decided to pend the update...

If you have flash installed, flash will work. You just cannot download flash from the Google Play store via JellyBean. You can however side load it or install it prior to updating.

It works fine.

Ok; thanks. Guess I'll go ahead and update. Do you know how to perform a cold boot on the tf700 ? Hum. I wonder if hdmi will still work after the update :)

Hold power and volume down until you see some white txt appear during the boot. It will automatically cold boot from there. If you press up whwn you see the txt you can get to stock recovery and do a data wipe if you want or to manually do a firmware update.

Btw: if you are rooted or want to root make sure you do ot before updating to jellybean and you run voodoo ota rootkeeper to make a backup of your su folder. It will restore root when you run it again after the update. Otherwise you lose root and thus far there is no root method for jellybean.

Thanks; I'm not rooted; I mostly just use the device to watch movies/read email/browse when traveling; when home it doesn't get too much use.

Thanks for the replies folks! I've got a generic micro hdmi to hdmi cable at canadacomputers and I've tried two of them and I've tried another monitor's hdmi as well.

My tv is 55"8000D series samsung so it's not a problem for sure. I'll update the driver and try it again on JellyB. If that doesn't work I'll look for another cable source- perhaps defective cable run?
