HDMI or DVI for running a 120Hz LED?

So I've bought, but did not decide on keeping, a 120Hz LED monitor. I didn't know it had an HDMI input... don't ask why, i wasn't looking for it after both my CRTs died on me today.

What is better or worse about using HDMI vs DVI ?

This monitor will only serve as a gaming monitor, nothing else. NOTHING

Seems they are the same signal Just HDMI carries audio with it.

Many 120hz monitors will not accept 120hz signals over hdmi.

Can't even fit the HDMI cable into the slot due to the case being in the way *sigh*
