HDMI cable for PS3, does quality count?

hey, so i was wondering, HDMI cable for PS3 ranges from $5 to about $100.

i have a 1080p sony bravia xbr2

i need a 6ft or so cable. currently, we have a 3ft monster (got it for free) for our DVR/tv tuner.

No. It's all digital. Buy the cheapest one at monoprice.com.

For a run of only 6ft, I don't think you will see any kind of signal degradation regardless of how cheap your cable is so long as the cable is not defective.
