Hey guys my tv is Sony Bravia 40 inch

My laptop is i5 and the hdmi works perfectly fine on it

But when connected to the pc it does not. I had a old HDMI cable I bought 3 years ago for 115$ (Yes got ripped off because I was a noob) and now got one for about $4 and it works fine with the laptop but not with the pc

My PC has a hdmi port (I bought a Radeon 5450 just for that reason) and the old hdmi worked fine but it gave pink picture so I got a new one

The new one is 1.4a and isnt working with the pc!!
The old one was 1.3a and it was working fine

The TV Isnt detecting the signal but it does fine when i plug it into the laptop

Please help :'(

I bought this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/KabelDirekt®-High-Speed-Cable-Ethernet/dp/B004BIG55Q/ref=pd_sim_ce_2

How long is the cable?
Also for the old cable, try turn off TV and turn it back on. See if the pink color is still there

I fixed the problem some hours ago.
The problem was not technical in any way.
The pcie was the top slot where my graphic card is in. The cable had too much width and height in rubber so I cut it down with a big knife
Now the hdmi slots in the port easily and I am able to enjoy the video.

However the screen does go pink once in a while and flashes a blackout for a few seconds once in a while but its all good!

Thanks for all your inputs!
