Hello all,
I am having trouble getting audio out of my Dell M1530's HDMI port. Here's the story:
I'm getting no audio out of my HDMI port at all. I don't see the HDMI port in my playback devices list- although I used to. I think I accidentally removed it a while ago. I remember that, for some reason youtube videos were playing through HDMI and not my speakers. I was perlexed, and I think I chose "disable this device" in the properties to make it work- which it did, but it also made anything related to HDMI audio out disappear from what I can see. It didn't bother me at the time because I didn't need HDMI out. Now I want to have it, and I don't know how to get it back. I tried reinstalling my audio driver, but the one that Dell gave me based on my service tag said it was the wrong audio for my PC and quit. Odd. Windows doesn't autodetect any issues either.
I'm running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
