Question HDMI 2.1 to DisplayPort 1.4 (cable or adapter) 4-5m

Howdy,

My 3090 Ti only has one HDMI 2.1 which is currently being used.
I want to plug in another monitor (Ark Odyssey) which is HDMI 2.1 only.

I have a 5M 8K 60Hz HDMI 2.1 cable so thought I'd just pick up an adapter from 2.1 to DisplayPort 1.4, however they all seem to specify that the max cable length is 2M.
I've also looked around for HDMI 2.1 to DisplayPort 1.4 cables that are 4-5M in length, alas I have not found one longer than 2M.

- Moving the monitor (nor the PC) closer is not an option
- I am considering another GPU (maybe 3050 or something) but would rather not
- Also considering just waiting for a 4090 Ti and ensuring there are 2 HDMI ports on it
- I don't have integrated graphics (no HDMI there)

Does anyone have any suggestion of a possible solution?

Cheers,
SB

2M seems to be the limit due to signal integrity.

Either get a different monitor or roll the dice on the adapter and if doesn't work send it back.

Depending on your use you might be able to do a HDMI splitter or switch.

Thanks. That's a bummer! Yeah I might do that, or maybe I'll just grab the 3050. Will give it some thought.
