Hdd's, X-ray, and You

Has anyone personally tried putting a hdd through an X-ray machine at airport security? My friend always puts his laptop through and everything is fine, but I'm wondering if just a hdd might get messed up.

Hi, XRay probably will not hurt the HD or even get through the HD case. Same with Magnetism. Good Luck, Jim
