Check out Edealinfo They have a way to buy and 80 gig 8 mb cache maxtor for 60 bucks from staples, its about 1/3 down the page. If I was looking for a new drive I would easily go for that...

Thanks for the post JB, but I think that the L01P080 is a Fireball...not sure though. Apparently Fireball's are all 5400RPM and that's a 7200RPM so I don't know!

No they're not. Check the part numbers on maxtor.com

I did, but couldn't find that exact model number. The similar numbers appeared to be fireballs.

I'd say maxtor based on the prices listed unless you want quiet. I recently bought my first maxtor after going WD only for years and Im happy with it so far. Its a bit quieter than my 2 year old WD 40GB caviar.
