Hi everyone,
I've read elsewhere and certainly experiencing problems with my SATA and PATA/IDE drives on my system.
Initially when i put my system together with just 2 Raptors of 36GB each and no IDE drive everything went fine and bootup was a matter of seconds. When i recently added and formatted a WD Caviar SE 40GB from the previous system the whole process of hardware detection and POST takes believe it or not 3 minutes before i get on the desktop!!! Once on the desktop everything works fine and i can use all drives without any problem at all. Any suggestions or tips on how to speed up things?
