Hdd temperature readings...

I have two hdd's in open PC in front of me, i just connected everything before putting it in case and have running system here on my table with 2 hdd's.
One is old and one is new, both have sensors, one showing 39C other 49C when i touch them they both are of same heat.
Whats the problem one reading is to low or other is to high?

Put a case fan near the the hdds if you can, close the case and see what temps you get.
If your hdd is 'hot' to the touch, then there could be a prob with it - apart from that, I wouldn't get too worried if you have backups anyway.

In answer to your question though, sorry - haven't got a clue.
