HDD suggestions

I need suggestions on purchasing a new Hard Disk. My motherboard, the Asus P4PE has a SATA controller on it and I'm wondering if I should go for the Serial ATA drives or stick with the trusted IDE drives. I want the drive to have 8mb cache, it must have the fluid ball bearings so it is quiet, and it should be at least 80 gb. Right now, price is a concern for me and if I go with the Serial ATA, my costs will be higher. Is there any performance or other benefits of going S-ATA as opposed to IDE at the moment? The only S-ATA drive I can get here right now is the Seagate Barracuda one.
