hdd roadmaps?

Not really, not like CPU and GPU companies. Terabyte drives are here, you just have to use RAID. If you're looking for a standalone, it'll be quite some time before that happens as we're *just* hitting 400GB capacity (and that's with three platters.)
 
There's a 500GB drive out or coming out. TB drives won't come out until they perfect perpendicular data recording.
