HDD recomendation

Hi I'm thinking of buying a new 120 or 200Gb HDD.
I recently own some WD and some Maxtor
I want a recent article regarding prformance and reliability tests between latest models of both companies.
Also any other comment would be welcome

if the specs are the same 7200rpms, 8mb buffer... there will be practically no difference. Reliability? Some will say Maxtor, others will say WD. It dosn't really matter which you get, what matters is how long the warranty is. You can't really go wrong either way.

2. since we're here.. they're all the same.. some people have great luck with each brand

personally i own over 30 wd and about 15 maxtors and 3-4 seagate.. at once time or another, all 3 brand has been rmaed at least 3-4 times. Just last week was 2 WD (over 2 year old) and 1 seagate (over 2 year old). Right now, Seagate has the 5 year warranty.. so I would get them.. not sure if all seagate models carry 5 year.. need to check on that
