HDD Problem

Hi - This is my first post - i am having a problem with 2 HDDs that arent brand new but were in working order last week - one is a wd and is about 6 gigs - the other is an ibm about 8gigs - neither register in CMOS - they are both being tried on the primary ide controler - this is my last hope before i ship em out to get fixed to a HDD restoration place - any and all advice is welcome - and yes i checked the cables and tried different ones - and a HDD with windows on it already works on that channel thanks Andy

single drive configuration might be different from multiple drive configuration

set ide channels to autodetect

When you say the drives were working last week, what do you mean? Were they working with a different mobo?
