Hi,

i had posted here a while back. i have some other problem here..........

i have a 946gzis mobo and two hdd. 320gb and 160gb. i have win xp on 160gb hdd and vista on 16gb hdd.now, the thing is, i cant seem to connect both the hdd at the same time on my pc. when i connect each hdd seperately, the work good. but when i connect both the hdd together, my pc refuses to boot.
i tried both native and legacy setting on the bios.
also, i have tried connecting my hdds on seperate sata connectors on the mobo and they work fine. so there's no question of faulty connectors.
the funny thing is that i used to have both the hdds together in my pc when one of them failed. i had to get it replaced but now i cannot get them to work together.

any help is appreciated.

thanks!!!!

if the other drive had a os on it at any time and was not properly wiped the system will still think it has a os on it.

no, the other drive was brand new when i got it replaced. i tried connecting it with my system(without the OS). and my system would not boot.

so, to check if the hdd was ok and bootable, i installed an OS on it. but as you know it was still not beneficial.
