HDD not accessible, flasehd BIOS now disklock appears??

A friend of mine has a laptop where he got this error all the sudden: PXE-E61 error. Some other forums said flashing BIOS might help so he did and when he booted up his HDD is under a disklock password and he doesn't know how or why... he can't get into it and he can't change anything or disable it. Anyone heard of this one before??

Intel PE motherboards do this with every Bios Update.
The solution is moving a jumper block to boot into supervisor mode.

Depending on the laptop, there generally is a keystroke combo or
power+key combo to enter supervisor mode.
