hdd limited to 137

mobo: gigabyte 570 sli nforce build 1.1
hdd: seagate barracuda 250gb 7200 rpm 16mb cache

hey i have windows xp pro sp2 my bios is set to go past 137 gb and it recognizes the 250gb drive, but in windows it only shows 137. how do i unlock the rest again? i remember doing this a long time ago. thanks all!

This is most likely a 48-bit LBA issue. Read this and it should answer some questions. If you have SP2 installed, then likely the remaining space is unallocated--go to admin tools -> computer management -> disk management and see if the space shows up there. You will need to format it as another drive or use a 3rd party tool to annex it to the primary partition.
