HDD Led Keeps Flashing

This is a bit of a weird problem. My HDD Led keeps flashing even when there seems to be no actvity on the Hard Drive. It seems to flash almost faintly. And the light flashes pretty much every second, maybe a bit faster. Anyone have any idea what might be causing something like that?

I have virus software running, and it hasn't picked up anything on the scans
