HDD Help

Hi, I am new to the whole compu thing... a bit anyways, and I was wondering how would I go about reformatting a HDD to be used as a slave. I want to erase everything so I can have some music on it. This thing is pretty old and currently part of a disassembled rig. Well, that's all.🙁

To use it as a slave, you need to set the jumper caps correctly. It's usually printed on the HD itself.

The formatting procedure isn't any different for a slave drive, it's the same as for the master.

Right, I know about the slave thing but the reformatting... I've never done it before and would like to know how. That's the thing! LOL OK have I made myself clear? Gawd I'm tired.

I'm running Windows '98 on the primary and '95 is installed on the one i plan to slave. That help? I hope it does.

Ok, now can you see the drive in windows after you have it all setup as a slave? If so you can just right click on it and format like you would a floppy disk.
