HDD formating and imaging question.

So I have two standalone HDD's. If I image my C drive onto the D drive, format the C drive, then image the D back onto the C, will I see any benefits? Or is it rather pointless because it's not a truly clean install?

Your just making a clone of the hard drive sector by sector so no benefits that way. It will be the same as when you started.
