HDD for Recording

I'm looking for HDD for storage, and 1080p video recording, (Fraps, MSI afterburner, etc.) I have a 256 GB SSD, but I would prefer to not use that drive for the recording. So I want to add a larger HDD, was thinking about 2TB, my budget is about 100-150, obviously the lower the better.

I have looked at a few SSHD from Seagate, but I was unable to find any info on whether that improved write speeds, it looks like it improves read, when you turn on caching, but I am more concerned with write speeds. Or will any 7200 rpm Sata3 HDD work?

If you're doing video recording, you're talking about mostly sequential writes of large files.

For that type of workload, any 7200 RPM HDD should be fine. In fact, mostly likely, a 5400 RPM HDD should be fine. If you're buying in the US, you can regularly find 3TB Seagate and Toshiba models for ~$100-110, and occasionally for like $95.
