HDD enclosue troubleshooting

I have a Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB SATA drive in an Azio external SATA HD kit with eSata and USB 2.0 interface.

I formated the drive and used it normally, always the USB interface, on multiple computers for about a month. Then no computer could detect the drive. I took the drive to a shop and determined that the drive is working fine. The drive does not show up in device manager or disk management. Is there any troubleshooting I can do or is the enclosure dead?

Have you tested the enclosuer with another drive? If that fails, too, it would suggest the enclosure electronics died.

The only way to test if the enclosure is actually working is by using another SATA drive. There really isn't much else you can do unfortunately.
