HD was acting funky, So I format and reinstall windows, I install SP2 and all that.

But it only loads under one circumstance, it requires the WindowsXP install disk in the CD Tray whenever I boot, or it'll give me a "BOOT DISK ERROR". I have to leave the WindowsXP disk in, when it says "Press Any Key to use bootdisk", I let that pass, then it'll load. Under any other cirumstance, it'll just give me that BootDisk Error. Also, Installing Nvidia's IDE optimization also causes the HD not to boot into Windows.

Yes, I made sure HDD and all that is first, but it skips right over that and goes to the CD-Rom. If I disable boot with other devices, it gives me the error right away. I could not get it to boot without the CD no matter what bios settings I had tried.

I've done the BMR and the boot Repair under Windows XP repair from the boot disk.

Right now I'm setting up WindowsXP again under SATA (finally got that adapter working). I'm just hoping something was bugged out with the Install.

All the software I've used said the Drive was in good condition, including Maxtor's MaxBlast and S.M.A.R.T.
