it started yesterday morning, i turned on my cpu and i heard a weird grinder like noise and it happended again today. I opened up my case, touched each hdd cooler fan and found one of them is the culprit. sound went away right after i touched it. how do i fix this problem? do i need wd40 on the fan? if so, where do i spray it, inside the fan? this is the vantec hdd cooler from newegg.

DO NOT use WD40 as it is electrical conductive and not really a Lubricant...you are asking for trouble. Instead put a drop of thin oil (ie.sewing maching, tranmission) in the middle of the fan by peeling off the label or in the cracks around the inner edges and start it up on it's own. Then after the problem is fixed remount it.
