HDD check software

Hi,

my windows 7 is going "there's a problem with you drive, backup your data and get it repaired". Is there a way I can check how bad it is? There are not data on the drive (it's a gaming computer, and most games are from steam or really old, so I don't care) so it's only about annoyance of reinstalling windows.

I know I could check it with linux livecd and smartmontools, ut there must be some windows software that can do it without me crawling around looking for the last black cdr and stuff.

Ok so for future reference, there is windows smartmontools. And it says
=== START OF READ SMART DATA SECTION ===
SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: FAILED!
Drive failure expected in less than 24 hours. SAVE ALL DATA.
To the store then.

The message doesnt appear to be legit (ie, SMARTMON doesnt predict a specific time to failure - it gives status warning with back up imperative). Run the free SeaTools to assess SMART Status and HDD integrity.
