HDD benchmarking tools?

Besides HD Tach, Sisoft Sandra, and WinBench99 what good benchmarking tools are out there for HDD performance?

I am getting mixed results from the above 3 as I try to sort out which drivers are better between the Intel ATA100 drivers and the Windows 98se drivers.

HD Tach and Sandra show no difference between the Windows drivers and the Intel ATA100 drivers except for significantly lower cpu utilization with the Windows drivers.

WinBench99 Business Disk Winmark shows significant superiority of the Intel drivers, while the High End Disk Winmark shows only slight superiority of the Intel drivers.

What other tools might settle the issue?

Ken

Asus CUSL2, 1003.002
IBM ATA100 7200 30 gig

[HD Tach avg.] [Sandra] [Business Disk] [HE Disk]
Win98se 35400 24750 5930 21800
Intel 35200 23500 6520 22900

Try this program. It wont help you with your driver comparison, but it will give you a good ID of the real performance of your HD(measured directly through the BIOS).

H2Bench

Hope this helps,

Menel.

Atto is the benchmark the hardliners at Storagereview use, they should know better than I.
