Hello all. I was wondering if you could give me some input on this problem I have.

I asked my parents for a HDD based MP3 player for Christmas this year, but the problem is they only have around $200 to spend. I was looking online to see what player would be around that price, and I noticed the 30GB Zen Xtra can be found for $206 at Newegg. What do you guys think of this player? Is it any good, and is it worth it?

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. And I would like something with a descent amount of HDD space, since I have around 15GB of MP3. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Peace

I have the 40GB Zen Xtra and I like it very much.

Some will say that the 3 month warranty is a deterent.

Some will say that the they have had problems with the headphone jack but not I.

Battery life is good and sound quality is very good (once you buy a descent set of earbuds).

What kind of earbuds would you recommend? That's another thing I was looking at, since I don't have any descent headphones/earbuds right now...... Hopefully there's something descent out there that's affordable...

I have a 30 gig Zen Xtra, iva had it for9 months now used it just about every day, no issues whatsoever, its great adn easy to use, and you shoudl be able to find it for less then 206$, i paied $214 for mine last Feb, peopel claim to have that headphone issue but i havent had it at all,

the headphones that come with it are pretty good actually, but a set of Sony Canal phones for 30$ will be much better

I really like the sony 20GB mp3 player that's out right now (not sure of model) but it's compact, and has good battery life. I have not used one however.
