Can anyone who have a HD78xx series (looking at Asus HD7850 specifically) card confirm whether or not it supports DDMA (Discrete Digital Multi-Point Audio)? I'm looking to upgrade and that is one of the requirements I have.

Yes, the 7800 series supports DDMA. It's a feature in all the Southern Islands family GPUs.
