wich is better 6950 or 650tiboost, i cant buy 7850 because my psu is 430w only,so i have to chose either 650tiboost(400w) or antec550w(psu)+HD6950.

which card does better performance?

by the way this is my rig:
cpu: intel i3 540
ram: 4gb corsair
psu: cooler master extreme460w( actually 430w and not a good psu)
harddrive: 466GB Hitachi HDS721050CLA362 ATA Device (SATA)
Motherboard: Intel Corporation DH55PJ (XU1)
Optical Drives: ATAPI iHAS124 B ATA Device

If that psu cannot power a 7850 it won't power a 650ti boost either. They use roughly the same power with the 7850 usually using slightly less actually. All three cards are roughly the same speed.

My choice would be the 7850 based on the limited info. What games do you plan on playing? What resolution is your monitor? What is your budget and what price are you paying for those cards and that psu?

Frankly I'm not one to put my faith into a bad psu so if it is that bad I'd upgrade the psu.

7850 only use around 125W peak gaming. Your PSU should cover that and the i3 easily, even if its not a good one.

125w peak gaming? is it different from full load/stress gpu. ive just read different forums saying 7850 120w on idle and about 250-290w stress.
when you say 125w peak did you based that on the games i listed above?

a 6950 is going to use more power than a 7850, they're similar in performance, yet the 7850 is on a smaller fab process. also, if your 430w psu is a solid one, a 7850 wont stress it at all. My OC'd 3770 with an OC'd 780 didn't pull more than 400w from the wall in gaming situations. Even if your PSU sucks, if you don't overclock anything, you shouldn't have problems with a 7850.

You're fine. Get the 7850. Yes, you have a cheap PSU, but it can power a 7850.

The 6950 is outdated, a power-hog, and is slightly slower than the 7850. No reason to buy it today.

Another vote for HD 7850

6950 is two generations old, consumes more and it's not faster
GTX 650 you mentioned only has 1GB

I have a rig in the house running a 7850 at 1ghz on a 300w fanless ps with some lower power haswell quad core and several hd. Goes fine.
Next year the same ps will run an undervolted 7970.
An oc 7850 is a damn fine lean gpu. Reminds me of the old celeron 300a. Lol.
Will have mantle support also.

i want to buy 7850 also but the thing is my PSU(coolermaster460w) is not a good psu.
with the price of 7850 i can buy an Antec550w+6950. that is the only reason i put 6950 to consideration. but it seems you guys are confident that my CM460w can handle the 7850

Yes it can. Period.

We are uber nerds. Trust us :)

Btw. Come back and thank us when you enjoy your new 7850.
Then in time save for a used quad core to plug in the same mb. No fancy model just midrange type.

Cooler master 460W should definitely be able to handle a 7850. It only uses one PCI-e 6 pin connector (75W) and gets the rest of the power from the motherboard. With that said, it doesn't use much more than 100W at full load. Pretty much any half decent 400W PSU would be able to run a 7850.

If you get the 7850 on your current PSU, you will still have power to spare, even if you overclock.

I can confirm on the PSU - I'm running an i5 and GTX 660 *perfectly* on an Antec Basiq 450W.
