Which card should I buy for my computer? I would be replacing a HD6670 and I have a 600W PSU.

Which card would be the better one?

unless you are gaming entirely off your psu and video card you've got to list more than that.

what resolution, game, and what cpu/mb?

CPU is AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE, MB is Asus M4A87TD/USB3, resolution is 1680x1050.

and I don't know what game I'll be playing. I just want to know which card would be better.

EDIT: Or should I just wait for the next generation of GPUs?

There are a number of cards found between the prices of those cards. What made you decide to only ask about those two? Something that lies somewhere in between might be a better comprimise than either.

As a side note, your CPU is good enough, but it'll hold back cards like the GTX580.

if you wait for 28nm GPUs to come out later this year, then you will have more options.

The 580 is a far more powerful, far more expensive card than the 6850. But if you're only gaming at 1680x1050, it's also probably a huge waste of money. You'll never see it's full potential. Given your setup, the 6850 seems like a much better fit.
