Hello,
I know my HD 6770 GPU is quite old, but it always ran hot for no apparent reason.
It might peak even 100C sometimes, though usually it gets 70C.
Do you know anyone who can give a cooler or sell it for this type of card?

Have you tried cleaning the dust and reapplying the thermal paste? You should do that first and retest your temperatures.

$6 for Thermalright Chill Factor 3.

Yeah, I have tried all kinds of stuff since 2012 and nothing seems to help.
Reapplying thermal paste to a better one, made no difference.

And the temperature is not the only one that worries me, but also the cards noise.
While idling, it does not bother me much, but again temperatures run as high as 54C which is ridiculous for this kind of card I believe.
Updating the drivers does not make anything.
Downclocking the card had a 20C effect on lowering the temperature, but still not good enough.
Normally I should be able to overclock this kind of card.

Also, I am always worried to buy a cooler since I don't know if it works for this card or not and they do cost as much as a better used card.
